We slept on the streets of Amsterdam. It was unbelievably cold. Then we went to a Banksy gallery.

We skated this underground foot bridge in London. We went to South Bank before it got torn down. We skated with the Element shop dudes.

We went to a party in Brighton with a few people we met at the skatepark. Owners of LEVEL skateshop gave me a display case for my books. Then we stayed at some hostel in London.

We went to the beach for Lacey’s birthday. We saw an interesting looking trailer and decided to go knock on their door to see if we could talk to whoever lived there and take a few photos. This guy named Miles answered the door and was pretty ecstatic to have people want to take photos of his place. He showed us around the place which apparently used to be a restaurant called Beach Rock Cafe. Then he played us a song on his drums, showed us the first car he ever bought, told us about his numerous bands and welding business, taught us how to live past 60 (eat 3x the amount of daily vitamins doctor’s recommend—it’s what he was doing when we knocked) and told us not to drink too much or we’d end up dead like his bandmates. Thanks Miles, if you ever read this for some reason, know that you’re awesome.

After killing a bunch of time walking around my apartment complex, we decided to go catch the sunset at S. Congress bridge. We barely made it. Also, we saw a UFO.

“Everybody knows the Captain.”
I was eating lunch with a few friends at 34th Street Cafe when I saw this guy wheeling his way up a hill across the street. He looked so interesting that I immediately walked up to him and asked to take his portrait. Apparently he was just heading to the bus stop and had a few minutes to spare so he didn’t mind. His name is the Captain and he’s a pretty cool guy.
